Setting endplay clearances
When measuring the countershaft, I had .0032 of endplay. I found a .0034 shim, which should give me .002" preload, correct?
On the mainshaft, I came up with .024 endplay, and the only shim I have that'd work is a .022, which should give me .002" endplay. I'm also assuming I'm supposed to check the mainshaft endplay with the shim on the countershaft correct?
Thanks in advance guys
