TR6060 to LS1

Default TR6060 to LS1

I got a tr6060 trans from a gen 2 CTSV and I知 wondering if anybody else has done this and what all I will need? I got the trans, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate all from the same vehicle. Do I need to use a ls3 pilot bearing and slave cylinder/throwout bearing? Or do I need to get a ctsv slave cylinder? Also I read somewhere that the input shaft is a little longer, do I need to put a spacer between the bellhousing and the case to eliminate that. I知 mating this to an LS1 383 stroker to go in a 1958 Chevy pickup and I知 building a new frame, so fitment Is not a problem and I know the shifter can稚 be moved forward on these but that痴 no big deal since I知 getting rid of the bench seat. Any info would be great. Thanks

Why not just keep everything from the block face on back CTS-V? Then you KNOW it will work together.

Then what pilot bearing should I get? I have found the the slave cylinder and the hydraulic line kit for ctsv, but for pilot bearing all I find is ls3/ls7. Is that the same?

Is the hole in the crank the same as the CTS-V? See if you can measure bushings to see if the diameters (inside and outside) coincide with what you need. You know what the LS1 crank ID is. See if the LS3/LS7 bushings will fit the trans pilot shaft AND your crank.

That trans has an integral bell housing, right, so don't concern yourself with input shaft length. Use the CTSV pilot and the CTSV slave. Except you're not going to be able to use the CTSV flywheel because it is 8 bolt. The CTSV clutch is a dual disk, which is nice. Get in touch with Monster and see about a 6 bolt flywheel that will work with your combination of parts.

The flywheel I got with it is a 6 bolt. So I知 good there. Thank you all for the input, definitely helped

Post pictures. You may not have what you think you have...The gen 2 CTSV had the LSA engine and it for sure used an 8 bolt flywheel.

That looks like a LS 7 clutch and flywheel. Definitely not CTSV. Post pictures of the trans.

That's definitely a Gen 2 ctsv trans. But now your challenge will be which slave to use, because the clutch that you have is not as tall as the stock ctsv clutch. So you can't just use a ctsv slave. You'll need to mock things up and get an idea of how everything fits together. You also need to figure out how you're going to handle the trans output, since there is no slip yoke.

I will go with the ls3/ls7 slave to start with since that what clutch I have and get the ctsv pilot bearing. The ls3/ls7 Slave even looks alittle taller in the pics than the ctsv slave, so maybe that値l do it.
