Shift Speed Improvements - Help Me DriverMod What are some techniques you guys have used or learned over the years to improve your shifting? Where my car is now, my ability to row gears is my biggest area for improvement of ET.

Sometimes all the advice and practice in the world will not compensate for a bad transmission or clutch set up.
Smaller stuff is easier to shift quick, like a Honda 5 speed manual with tiny speed gears and light clutch disc. Heavier stuff like behind a deseil truck will never be able to be quickly shifted. Strong sychronizers are a key to quick shifting. There job is to match the speed of the gear before it engages. When I'm idling in neutral, disengage clutch and engage 1st. My T56 synchro is so strong I actually hear a bang as the synchro forces my disc to stop spinning instantly.
Another item is a clean break away. At half or less then half clutch pedal travel the disc should be completely free from the pressure plate/flywheel.
Post of a vid of you going through the gears. On a side note speed shifting definately helps ET when the car is going slow, like the 1 to 2. Imagine a slow 1 to 2 vs another car. You will fall back half a car length. A speed shift like 3 to 4 near the traps. Hardly any loss in et slow or fast shift.

When I'm trying to squeak out the best time possible I pretty much do flat foot shifting which gains 1-2 mph in the 1/4 than normal shifting..... it is very hard on the transmission though.
