To answer your question no, both of these transmissions have given me the same exact issue of what feels like I’m wedging the shifter between two gears.

The gto t56 was the first one I used, after a while of use it started to become an issue. I think it was more of me trying to shift too fast and hard that caused the issue.

I had my fbody t56 sent to rpm trans to be built with face plated gears. Installed it and worked great but once I guess I got more comfortable trying to shift fast then the same issue started happening. Switched to the pro 5.0 shifter and worked good for a bit then the same crap. Bought the 5-6 skipshift deal that only works with the pro 5.0 and another shifter and installed that.

I didnt see if you mentioned using a brass shifter cup, I run that with the mgw. I find like someone said going on autopilot us best and letting the spring do the work is best with mgw. That being said I also agree with what someone said saying it's a tight shift pattern and I have hit 3rd instead of 5th so a slightly longer stick I think would be beneficial. Other than that. Mgw is awesome

I do have the brass cup in there, just got the MGW in and it feels better in the garage. We'll see what happens at the track. How are your stock boots holding up with the MGW?

Mine doesn't look happy.

I'm at the track now, drove it Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Have one more race to go and zero missed shifts so far. Now that I'm confident I can hit my shifts every time I started shifting faster again. That's where the fresh syncros are shining.

You are supposed to cut the hole slightly bigger and slide the boot under the yellow block on the MGW

The block that offsets the shifter? When I bought it they said once set, the orientation can't be changed. Does is still come off?
