Default t56 to ls7

what do i need to put a t56 behind a ls7. i will be using a ls7 computer if that helps any.

i want to know every part that i need to make it functional

99 percent certain an ls7 crank is not compatable with a t56

what ls motor are compatible besides the ls1 or lm7

There's a shitload of ls7's with t56 transmissions. Where do you get this stuff? It'll bolt right up like any other ls. As far as your computer I'd say that the vehicle it came out of had a t56 in it.

Ls7's came in Z06 vettes. All Z06 vettes had 6 speeds in them. No automatic transmissions in Z06 vettes. If your ls7 came out of a vette which unless it's a crate engine it did then the ecm is good to go with bolting up a t56. I'll add that ls7's also came in the fifth gen Camaro z28's. Pretty sure they were all 6 speeds as well.

thank you. what will i need for mounting a t56 to a ls7 crate engine. do i need to mess with the ecu at all for the manual

Couple questions:
LS7 is a crate engine right?
What kind of T56 are you using? (What did it come out of?)
What PCM are you using? What did it come in?
What kind of car are you putting this into.

100% chance you're wrong.

Pull the large pilot bearing and install small F body bearing. AutoZone has a blind bearing puller you can rent.

Ls7 crank will be about 1 inch longer on the front due to the dry sump set up.
on the back, I believe they are all still 6 bolt for the flywheel. But double check that. I think they swapped over to 8 bolts later on.
guess that part is not super critical as long as you find the proper flywheel and clutch set up.

lol woops. I thought it was a new bearing to t56 question. Didnt actually read whole thing

yes its a crate engine
the t56 is a level 5 t56 from tick performance for 4th gen f bodies
im using a holley hp efi plug and play harness
its going into a cobra kit car

If I were you I'd call Tick and confirm the correct input shaft bearing. There is differences in some t56 trans that neccesates what bearing to run.
