If you've got a LS6/Z06 clutch setup, how many miles, track passes, etc have you got out of it?
If you are a 98-00 car, did it make a noticable difference? Did you upgrade the slave?
Lastly, would you purchase the setup again?
..... yes, I know it's not the best setup, but when you've only got $400 to play with, there isn't much choice

It came stock on my '02. The car now has around 29000 miles on it and about 150 Track passes. It was holding awsome until I got long tubes and several other mods that gave me a 40 HP increase. The clutch is now slipping especially at the track. I think that with the drill mod it would last a lot longer, but I purchased the McLeod as a preventative plus I like the way the feel compared to the Z06.
Whenever you replace a clutch, you might as well replace everything down there, slave, pilot bearing, etc..
The Z06 clutch is pretty good, but if you plan on doing anything to your car in the future you should really go with an aftermarket. Even maybe a SPEC II or 3 would be pretty cheap.

I have the stock Z06 clutch in my car, and it has held pretty decently so far... over 50 passes at the track on Nittos and 4.11 gears, 22k miles total, still grabs pretty well... can't tell any difference from when it was brand new, actually. Gets mushy when the clutch gets hot, but that's probably to be expected out of the stock clutch.
With my new cam and ET Streets though, I'll be changing it out for a better one this off-season.

I want to go with a spec 3 and flywheel, but that's $625... plus i'll have to buy the slave. I can get a LS6 kit with the slave for $450 out the door.
I'm not going to be putting out much power anytime soon... so i'm hoping the LS6 will work fine.

I put 45k on my stock non-ls6 clutch and it still has life left in it. It all depends on how you treat it. I probably had 50 track passes on mine, but I never dumped it any higher than 3000 rpm. 20k of those miles were with H/C.
