Default Help post!!!

I am building a " REAR MID ENGINE "car (RWD). The engine is "LS 3" and I don't use any turbo setup with it (stock from).
Now my question is " Which transmission/ transaxle is best for the build?????? ""
Requirements:
1.budget $500-2,500.
2.6 speed transmission.
3. Must Paddle shifter.

LS3 is Gen IV. And you're not discussing internals.
This should be in Conversions and Hybrids

Brother, i took a chassis from toyota car... And this car chassis has planty of Space to mount an engine and transaxle in rear. So i took a ls 3 engine to make a rear mid engine car (RWD).. Bt am confused about the transaxle.. The engine has around 430 hp and 420 torqu... And i want only paddle shifter on it.. The car won't be hybrid... You said about conversion... I think you said about converting manual shifter to paddle sifte... Bt i want only paddle shifter...

This kinds of things i want to make... I saw many transmission has 3-4 cable and it goes to the dashboard and some how they attach paddle shifter on it

Moving this over to the transmission area.

As to the requirements, I think you're going to find you'll have to pick two and sacrifice the third. For a rear drive paddle shifting transaxle, I think your budget will be low.

There are very few transaxles that will hold up to a v8 driven in even a mild state of anger. You're looking at a Porsche probably G50 or an RBT ZF 5speed (Pantera). Neither of which are anywhere near $2500. Mendeola or Hewland may have some also, but you're gonna pay for those also.

There is an Audi that was unavailable in the US, that was used only in Europe on some diesel vehicles, but getting ahold of one of those is difficult - 01E and they are cheaper than the alternatives. But strength is debatable. And gearing isn't optimal

None of these options are paddle shifted.

Good luck, and report back if you find something, I've got an old Corvair out back that I've been sitting on for a similar project.

I don't honestly know. I've never investigated it. But I do know the T56 transmissions used in decent shape are getting $1800. So, for a specialty item like what you described that is a much rarer find, I'm guessing double or even triple the price

In which case a T56 out of a C6 might work for you. In that it will bolt directly to the rear axle

Audi 01E transaxle should work nicely.... You don't have enough budget for a paddle shifter transmission LOL.

Also the adapter plate/clutch setup will cost 2-3x of what a used 01E costs.

Prolly cheaper to go get a C8 Vette. Mid engine and transaxle already there, free of charge...
