Default Please help me solve this shifter grinding noise (video included)

I'm getting some loud grinding noises in my M6 01 Trans Am coming from below the shifter area. It sounds like metal on metal to me, and the noise only appears between 1500-2000 RPM's when accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear (see attached video). So I'll shift into 3rd, for example, and as I start accelerating the grinding noise just keeps getting worse from 1500-2000 RPM's then as soon as I pass 2000 RPM's the noise goes away instantly. The grinding noise gets much worse/louder if I'm accelerating harder and/or driving up hill. Going downhill the noise is pretty much non-existent. It sounds like it's coming from below the shifter area, maybe underneath the car.

This noise didn't exist until I had a few new transmission parts installed, including:
  • Clutch
  • Clutch master cylinder kit
  • Slave cylinder
  • Steel flywheel
I had a Pro 5.0 short throw shifter on the car before all this, but didn't get this grinding noise until after those four parts were installed. I recently got a new clutch as well as an MGW shifter and it didn't change anything, so I don't think the noise is coming from the shifter itself or the clutch. Could any of those transmission parts cause a noise like this? Any ideas what I should look at to fix this?

Could be the new clutch. You can do some searching, but my Monster LT1-S clutch makes a similar noise and if I remember correctly they said it was because it used an unsprung hub.
