Clutch engagement

Clutch engagement I have the cartek clutch in my car but was wondering about something. When I have the clutch pedal about an inch off the floor it begins to engage. I then need to let it up another 3-4 inches to have it really engage (close to being fully let out)
Is this normal? If not, what causes this? Can it be fixed?
