Default Hard shifting when parked

Hey Guys,
I have noticed that when I do not drive the vehicle for a week or two the transmission shifts hard and ruff. After a few minutes of driving it shifts perfect. Any thoughts on what to look for?

Starting off at the most simple explanation, it could be surface rust on your flywheel or clutch disc. If the car has sat long enough to get any rust on the brake rotors, it has the same on the flywheel. This should be gone after 1 or 2 times of starting to move the car from a stop. The other possibilities get progressively worse. I would say the next easiest would be a bit of air in the hydraulics that needs bleeding. After that you start to get into potentially real problems.

One thing that needs to be answered. Is the input shaft spinning at the moment you are having a hard time shifting.

One way to know is report how far your clutch pedal is up or down the moment the car moves while in gear. Does this change cold to hot?
The fact is the clutch MUST be disengaged to engage any gear from a dead stop.
