Default Shifting sometimes hard?

Hey! So I have a 2000 camaro z28 SS 6spd.
Sometimes its hard to put into some gears. Not all the time but sometimes. Any advice on what it could be? And also where do I check tranny fluid?

The fluid check is on the side of the transmission. See here: https://tremec-blog.com/wp-content/u...ntenance-1.jpg The fill hole is the check, manual transmissions don't have dipsticks. The transmission could be worn internally, or more likely, your factory master/slave cylinders are worn out and your clutch isn't disengaging properly. You can test this by jacking up the rear and putting jackstands under the axle, then starting the car, placing it in 4th gear and with the clutch fully depressed, slowly rev the engine while a helper watches the rear wheels. I'd usually rev up to around 5000 RPM. If the wheels turn at all, you're not getting full disengagement.

It is not uncommon for the pilot bearings to wear out prematurely and cause drag on the transmission input shaft, similar to having an issue where the clutch doesn't fully disengage.

Most likely a hydraulic issue. A 24 year old clutch master is most likely the culprit. Tick Performance sells a nice unit that is better than the stock setup. Prior to that you should completely bleed the clutch master/reservoir and put fresh fluid in it. It is brake fluid and that is hydroscopic (absorbs water over time). It could also be dark (clutch dust contamination believe it or not).
