Default McLeod is here!! Question (Now Installed)

My McLeod cluch showed up today. It looks likes the clutch is already balanced on flywheel. How do I install the flywheel and clutch and keep them balanced?

They are balanced seperately. I pretty sure they dont clock in a certain way that I know of. Time to get the car real high again huh?

Just make sure you put it on the same way it's setting now. when I did my twin disk it was shimmed from mcloed and it had to be put back together the same way. I know it sounds easy but it's easy to mess up once you're installing it.

Default Balanced

There should be some paint on each part. (Mine was blue) That's how you tell where to put each piece back together, just match up the paint. If there is no paint, put your own paint on.

By the way, if you happen to have an extra hydraulic line from the master to slave cylinder 98-02, I could seriously use one! Email me at dreinmann@msn.com

Thanks

Dan

It’s all together and bleed correctly. I was a PITA to bleed. If you upgrade to the Adjustable Master do not use zip ties to hold the rubber line to the master, go buy 2 hose clamps and use them.

I finally got the air out by bleeding the master from the reservoir using the mityvac while the hydraulic disconnected from the slave. Then I reconnected the hydraulic line and bleed it from the bleeder valve on the slave mityvac style. I still have a few very small soft spots but I think they are working their way out.

Overall the install went very smoothly with the exception of the bleeding. It took me and a few friends about 9 hours to remove everything do the drill mod and re-install. Then another 5 or 6 to trouble shoot the air leak and bleed the system.

Only have 250 miles on it so I haven't had a chance to really get on it yet, but I love the feel compared to stock especially on release with I think is due to the drill mod.

By the way, if you happen to have an extra hydraulic line from the master to slave cylinder 98-02, I could seriously use one! Email me at dreinmann@msn.com
Sorry didn't order an extra one.
