Has anyone done the skip shift eliminator (free mod)? I was going to just buy the one MTI sells, but if this ones free and works then why not? Thanks for any advice.

There is no good reason to pay more for the same results.

If the little "Shift Now" like bothers you get the one from MTI, SLP, JEGS, SUMMIT. If you can deal with it..get the .02 radio shack special. I personally couldnt stand the light on so I bought one useds....months later the damn things is lose and the light comes on but I can still go to second. AAHHHHHHHHH

If you want the actual little module they sell, I've got one sitting around that's not getting used anymore I'll sell for cheap. We had it on the Firehawk, then took it off when we got LS1Edit. PM me if you're interested.

Like other people have said..the Radioshack resistor works too...I've seen instructions online for the resistor version.

I got the > $1.00 radio shack mod. Works perfect. I do still get the light, but don't EVER even think about it. Non issue.

You need a 2.2K ohm 1/2 watt resistor. I had to order one online because I checked all the radio shacks around here and they didn't have it...but it works perfect.
I had a 95 Formula and I just removed a couple wires from the PCM and that disabled the light also. Does anyone know if you can do this with ODBII?

I did the Radio Shack resistor mod after I had the new tranny installed... only took a few minutes from start to finish. Hell, I still have the rest of the pack of resistors in the console of my car. It was .99cents for a package of 5 or 6? I forget.

If someone doesn't have a Radio Shack around or too damn lazy to go get a pack of them... I can mail one out to you for free of course It'll be Tuesday morning before I'd be home long enough to mail anything out though.
