Without ever putting slicks on or Dumping at 5K... will a Spec III only last around 20k, on a 400hp/tq car?

Forget about the z06 clutch.It lasted 3 passes @ the track.

Had to of been either a problem with the install or simply just a bad clutch kit. I've made 3 passes on this clutch and a LOT of street racing in less than 1000 miles on the thing and it bites just as good as it did when I first put it in.

I have Nitto's sitting here waiting to get thrown on - we'll see what happens then.

But you can't let one persons bad experience tarnish your consideration for a product that is generally giving good results. If that were the case, we would even be driving the cars we are now.

I replace mine with the specIII ,I think it has 4000 miles on it.To me the z06 was like the stock clutch.

Well, I just threw the Nitto's on.

I can still chirp 4th - So it looks like the clutch is holding for the time being.

u still selling your 2002 zo6 clutch/pressure plate, i may be interested. $200 is too much tho, its used, missing flywheel, and bearings. If you have it i'll offer $100

DMNSPD --- i totally agree...you guys keep talakin about getting spec...are you nuts! have you seen the complaints about this clutch.... oh and gettinig 40k on a fbody clutch is a good thing...specially with the crappy hdyro clutch set up we have in these cars......

btw ive heard that 410 gears are nicer to a clutch than 342...is this true?
