Cool. Then my next combo will be probably Fidanza or similar Aluminum FW, Spec Stage 4, and SLP Lightweight LT4 PP. Hopefully I wont need it for a while though.

Been there, done that. Had a Spec 3 Carbon come apart on me after 1500 miles of use and one track visit. Center section came apart and it exploded in my bellhousing killing my T-56 in the process. When I called they pretty much said tough ****...

Good luck

Me either. No noise whatsoever. Love the Stage 3 "so far"...

Excellent question. I have no ******* clue. When the clutch exploded, I assumed it was only the clutch. However, when I dropped my T-56 to replace the clutch, I heard **** rattling inside the tranny case (jumping up and down with joy at this point).

Upon pulling the tranny apart I find 2 broken gears (1st & 2nd) and numerous stuff laying broken in the case. Could have been the impact shoving the input shaft, dunno.

Sorry for the hijack. I am now running one of Spec's new version clutch's and I like it a lot. My little horror story happened back in 2001

I have the SPEC 2 and love it. I will however be swapping it out for a 3i but now I don't really know since that 4 looks attractive. The 2 has given me no problems and has about 17K miles and 40-ish runs on it. The new clutch that I choose will be spinning power through a D&D Viper T56 into a Strange 4.10, 12 bolt Hope that this helps in some way.

Had a Spec stage 3, chatter was minor seemed to work great, until my wife went on a trip and the disk broke a part off allowing the spring to fall out and make stuck engaged.... The history of this car is my wife took it to the track one weekend, only took off at idle, had like 2.4 60ft times, fastest pass 13.65.. Clutch had like 7,000 miles on it.. Now I have an Exedy hyper single and would never go back.

I have a stage 5 Spec and the driveability on it is incredible. I cannot believe this clutch can hold 1300hp/tq. It feels like a freaking Z06 clutch!! The only part of it that I didnt like is when I first put it in it squeeled some, like metal against metal but it went away. If you try and slip it too much it will kind of jerk back and forth real quick until you get into the gas or push the clutch back in but its not an issue at all. I would say go for the stage 5 and be done with everything!!
