Corvette C6 tranny?

Corvette C6 tranny? does the corvette C6 have the T56 transmission like the birds and camaros...im woondering because i like the way it shifts too...so i was wondering if i could get the C6 shifter on my car when i do the conversion to a T56

damn...what would need to be done for it to fit?...or is it not worth the work?...how bout the GTO the shifter doesnt seem much different form the C6...what would it take for either to work out right....so i kno when i do the conversion
The GTO T56 would be a better place to start. The shifter will not work unless you want to shift from the back seat. The Fcar shifter, however, will bolt up to this trans. The synchros are upgraded and it has a 2.95 1st ratio set ( over the std 2.66 ratio set). It also comes with an iron 3/4 fork.
