Default thinking of going to the spec st3. what do u think?

i'm on my 2nd ram and having problems AGAIN. i'm looking at the spec st3,how do you like it. my car is a daily driver with a heads, cam, all boltons,12bolt 4.11's and a t.n.t 100shot(476hp-465tq-stang dyno).how does the spec st3 perform on the street? does it hold 6,000rpm luanches w/nos on slicks? how many miles have you had it in your car(in 5,000mi i'm on my 2nd ram) would you buy it again? i also have the mcleod adj master will this work with the spec? THANKS,mike c. any input from other clutch users are welcome too.

i have the ram flywheel for their clutch. 4-clutches in 20,000mi,i break them all in with no less then 1,000mi. i put in a all new master and slave last time the clutch was done. it was installed how ram said to richt to the T. i only got 10 passes on slicks with this one and that was after 1,500mi. this is my 2nd clutch this year and my car was down till june. this is fuc---- killing me,we done everything right and i'm still having this problem. i knew i should of bought that 03 cobra.

I love my Spec 3. I have had it since March of this year, but I have made about 40 passes or more at the track with it. The last time I raced I was launching at 5000 rpm and it was holding without any problem at all. The next time I am going to launch around 5500 rpm. I am using a LS6 fly wheel that I had laying around. I would recommend it to any body. I don't think that you are going to have any problems with it at all.

WELL...it seems when the trans shop pulled my trans and clutch out nothing is wrong with my ram clutch.so, now we need to find the reason my shi- is not working. at least after 4-clutches i seem to have one that will work.

I've been a fan of the spec clutches. I have the older carbon disc with 35,000 miles on it and PLENTY of 6600rpm clutch dumps on the gas. (400ish on motor + 175 shot of dope)

mike, if ya ever have to get another on get the spec 4, mine has never chattered since day 1, guess due to the gears. its very streetable and bites like a **** with 6000-6200 dumps.
