Default Tranny ?'s

Well, I just bought my 98 TA a few weeks ago. I have started running it a little and am having a little trouble. Under full throttle trying to shift it won't do it, it will grind. Trying to downshift with the rpms over about 3000 it will grind.

However, normal driving it is fine, only when trying to run it.

So will the drill mod or the updated slave cylinder help it or do I have more problems??

The drill mod will help with high rpm shifting, but it could also be that your clutch is worn out. Is the clutch slipping?

The clutch doesn't seem to be slipping any. I have been considering the ZO6 clutch for it considering I am going to be bolt on only for quite some time, also doing updated slave cylinder and the drill mod.

Should all this cure the problem?

Thanks

There is one other cheap thing to check that will cause clutch problems. Check the color of the fluid in the resevoir. If it is black, then it could be burnt. The hydraulic cable runs close to the exhast and sometimes can cause problems.
