Default Is it normal for ALL of the clutch springs to break at only 25k miles?

I HAD a Mcleod single disc with steel flywheel that only had about 25k miles on it and it started making some clanking sounds recently. Thinking it was perhaps a slave cylinder, I got a friend to tear it down to replace the slave only to see the clutch springs were all broken. The broken pieces then got lodged between a decent clutch and flywheel and ground chunks out of the flywheel. Is this normal? The car had at best 350rwhp and maybe 20 track passes..Kinda sucks but now looking for another clutch.
TIA

NORMAL - no. Does it happen, yes. The most common causes we see for this are:

-Aggressive launches, especially on sticky tires
-Aggressive downshifting
-'lugging' the motor at a low RPM, where you can feel the driveline bucking around

25,000 miles is a lot out of a clutch if you ask me, especially with occasional track time. I would be happy to have a clutch last that long.
