I've got about 400 miles on my stage 3 and am planning to drive the car hard next week, by that time I'll have about 800 miles on the clutch. I was going to ask if I should add more miles before I slip the clutch. But I'll just wait and see what they tell you.

I'm starting to have some slipping problems myself - I just installed the stage 3 a couple weeks ago. It holds pretty well in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd... if its in 4th, 5th, or 6th and I mash on the gas, it slips.

Any ideas from people with experience?

My stage III just started slipping in the upper gears. I assume it's time for another clutch.
I got one summer out of this clutch. That makes 2 specs in 2 years for me.

I am tired of pulling my trans. Anyone know a clutch that will last more than one season.
I'm running street tires and go to the track about two or three times a year and I go right thru these clutches.

yeah, its totally wierd - it holds reasonably well in first, but if its in 6th and you slam the gas = major slipping...

Pulling the trans = goat *****

You guys with slippage.....have you been intentionally slipping your clutch?

Just a thought. All my racing will be with 3500 rpm clutch dumps. I can't afford to keep buying more clutches.

I've only gone down the 1/4 mile 3 times after installing the new clutch and I dumped it around 2500-3000, so I guess its hit-or-miss.

Im on my second Spec Stage 3. If your clutch is slipping in high gear its more than likely your clutch going and if your slipping in 1st it is totally gone. I went with a ceramic spec stage 3 and it seems to be holding up pretty well after 5k miles.

I wonder why the hell so many spec 3's are starting to slip after a few thousand miles. I sure as hell hope mine doesn't crap out on me. Dropping the tranny is by far the worst part of it. How does everyone start rolling out with this clutch (slip the clutch a little, or just plain dump it and lunge forward)?

Mine was three weeks old with about 10 6000 dumps on it and 5 races. Broke it in for 450 miles now this evening it is into the rivets. I am thinking of going to the stage 5. Any suggestions?

I;ve heard alot of problems with people having oil on the cluctches from there hands and thats why there slipping. I talked to mark at spec and he said you should clean the flywheels and the clutch pressure plate with mineral spirits or acetone. To remove the grease. Just a thought.

i made sure mine was totally clean.i only intentionally slipped my clutch in the parade i was in.i don't think mine is wore out,i believe it was crystalized from having to ride it so much.it don't slip on the street so i can't tell if it is better now,i'll have to wait for the et streets and the track.
