Centerforces have high rpm engagement issues with them. Centerforce themselves on the phone said that their clutch doesnt work well on LS1 cars.

You can get a Stage 3 usually for under $400. That is a good streetable clutch and will handle 700 hp/tq.

centerforce= boat anchor.

my spec 3i with billet flywheel is some of the best coin i ever spent on parts.

GET THE BILLET FLYWHEEL. you won't regret it, stock flywheel causes chatter..i've never seen anyone have any chatter when using the spec billet flywheel.

it doesn't matter what clutch you ask about. Your going to have people saying a clutch is crap and others that love it.

The big variable is the hydraulics. There should be a sticky at the top of this section saying that you cannot comment on a clutch unless you state what master was used, slave, was the drill mod done, what flywheel. Also, how was the system flushed.

All the of the "reviews" and opinions are worthless without this info.

I do recall a couple of people saying they used the centerforce with success by used a new GM master.

I remember all the talk about how no clutch could stand up to the LS1 because all the cars were burning theirs up. how long did it take for someone to find out the drill mod?

The RAM Power Grip HD (Stage IV) has held a built 347 that I know of on a 250 N2O shot. They have the VDS (Stage V) also. I also would only consider RAM or McLeod. More $$$$$, but much better and consistant performance. hydraulics are a must.

Thanx for the info..., i was curious about different brands and how much power they can withstand, and which engages faster and bites harder....
