Default Spec Problems? Please come in.

I have been reading a lot about spec problems, and it seems that they are really hit or miss. When you vote, please explain your entire clutch setup and your breakin procedure (or lack of) im trying to figure out if there is a pattern to why people are having failures. Thanks.

probably has somthing to do with: Cheap Blanks, Small Springs, Improper material, **** Poor R&D, They do have great customer service.. Will send out a new clutch w/ no quip's or quam's as long as you send the original p.o.s back.. I'm not making a blind statement either..

seems most people with problems are trying to use the stock flywheel.

i voted the last option in the poll.

i drove my car probably 3,000 miles this year and made a couple hundred passes on slicks launching at 7,000+ rpm with my 3i and billet f/w with zero problems what so ever.

I went with every recomended upgrade when installking my 2 spec stg 3's. Both have been proffesionally installed, broken in. Both clutches have been a miss. Extremely loud squeaking when car is cold when clutch engages, extreme chatter that spills drinks and sounds like car could shake loose. They said they would take care of getting my clutch righ though, I would have to take it out and ship it.. Atleast they answered my letters, whish is a good sign, but the clutch is simply crap . Everyone I know with one has same problems I do. My first one broke with no track passes and 5K miles on it, this clutch has 2 passes on it and 8K miles and I have to replaceit due to drivability.

2000 miles and it is slipping at the track. voted the last option. I had more success with the zo6. It is a stage 3 will not hold my et streets launching at the track. Very dissapointed with it.
