Default Clutch Slippage when shifting to 2nd

O.k. here's the situation. I go to do a burnout. So I turn it about 1800 RPMs and dump the clutch in first gear. It starts spinning good and I stay in it until I hit redline then a shift into 2nd. When I hit 2nd I get major clutch slippage. What's up with that my clutch never slips any other time. I figured if my clutch was bad it would slip in 5th and 6th gear at wide open throttle. Is my clutch really bad or is there something else wrong. It probably is considering it's stock and it's got 93k on it. I just want to make sure before I go and spend 600 dollars on a new one. What do you guy's think.
