Grinding when going into 6th.
Grinding when going into 6th. Drove to work, let the car warm up, drove off. 4 miles later I'm on the highway and I decide to drop the car into 6th gear at 2,000 rpm and cruise. As I shift into 6th (not a slow or fast shift, just normal), the tranny makes the grinding noise you hear at the track when people miss the shift. Funny thing though is that the tranny does shift to 6th even with the grinding. The tranny would grind at low, moderate and high rpms, even make somewhat of a grinding noise at a stop light.
The car was warm, fluids are full, new Spec 3 iron clutch.
