Default Should I soak my blocker rings??

I'm in working on rebuilding my t-56 and I was wondering if it is a good practice to soak the blocker rings for a while before you install them? When doing auto's I hear your supposed too and it's pretty much the same friction material.

Am I being too ****

Thanks
Frank

they stopped using that kind of friction material about 5 years ago. No new service replacement parts will be the same material as an automatic clutch or band.

Yes you are.
