so i just installed my tranny and at first it was stuck in fourth but now i got that fixed but my shifter only seems to go in fourth and third. doesnt move all the way to the right to go in 1st and second or left to go into 5th and 6th or rev wjile the car is running or not. any good ideas on what might have happened internaly? my clutch isnt blead yet but that shouldnt affect it going right to left just in gear when it running , right?

Have you worked on that tranny or had work done to it.
what were you doing to that you had to put the tranny in the car?

THere are several things that it could be.
The pin that holds that Ball cup in place is not all the way in.
the reverse/5-6 shift linkage is not in place.
the shift guide,
and more I'm sure.
but I need to know more about the tranny

I know it was a built tranny. im not 100% sure of what was done, it was built buy that guy Ron i think it is.
i sold it to Rons00z, it came out of a TA, and was working PERFECT, and now its not, im thinking maybe somthing happend during shipping?

The only way I could tell for sure is to tear it down.
But try pullin you shifter off and see if it moves side to side with out the shifter.
that will eliminate that.
If it still stuck int he middle . Someones going to have to tear it down.
If you were in central Texas I could do that for ya

some how i wiggled the shifter last night and bam it works fine know. In the comm world we call that FM (******* magic) well thats what fixed it. i choose not to question why since it just doesnt make sence since i did that for a whole day then all of a sudden hey it works now. but thanks anyway guys
