Since you're doing the cam and all the bolt-ons, I'd step up to a stouter clutch than that...

RAM Powergrip Stage 3 or Stage 4
McLeod Single Kevlar/Organic
Plus, make sure you get a new flywheel and an adjustable master cylinder... at the very least upgrade to the '01+ hydraulics.

Wow dont go spec stage 1. I had one for a fast fix on my 2k z-28.
went a couple thousand w/ some street racing and normal driving. Then I spun it out racing when shifting into third. I have minor mods really...slp intake, maf, bbk throttle body, free mods.

Well Todd I have one (Spec stage 3) and it does chatter a little and I mean very little it just depends on the driver. If you give it a lot of gas and try to slip the clutch it is going to chatter so the key it so roll out very smoothly let clutch out at a fairly quick rate and ad gas it is way smoother. Just a suggestion on any performance clutch is going to grab a little and that is what causes chatter especially with a friction disc that has pucks instead of a solid friction disc. So do some shopping and ask some other locals to take you for a ride etc... The LS6 clutch will do ok until you beat on it a little then once it slips it alway will. just a few thing to go over when you are contimplating a cam and other mods etc... Good luck Todd!
I just recently installed a SPEC II and Fedenza Alum flywheel. Been doing great. No problems except for the bad clutch package that I recevied the 1st time. Has a good pedal feel not a full off and on type style. Good for a around town daily driver.

I had a Spec Stage II hybrid and now I have a Stage III with the x-pad... both are great. The Stage II was extremely street-friendly, especially with stock gears. No noise, easy to get going. The Stage III is awesome as well, it took me a bit longer to get used to but now it feels like stock to me. No chatter unless you try to slip it at low RPM.
