what does this sound like
what does this sound like I put a new ram clutch in with a new flywheel & slave, reused the master cylinder. Bench bled the master cylinder and a bunch of dark fluid came out with some black specks in it. Put everything back together, bled the slave, started it up and it won't go into gear cause the clutch isn't disengaging. I'm trying to decide if the problem is with a bad master cylinder, slave, or if the clutch is too far from the slave cylinder. When i disconnect the hydraulic line the clutch pedal is rock hard so that makes me think it's not the master cylinder. But the black specks in the fluid and the 105,000 miles on the master make me think it is the master cylinder. Any thoughts?
How does the pedal feel solid? Doesn't pump up? If it is solid & no freeplay,I wouldn't mess around, suggest replacing the master. The black specks are prolly the seals coming apart. Thats why I just do them both (master/slave) save me from the aggravation.
