2nd gear help 01 Z28 is having problems with 2nd gear. Never grinds, but when shifting 1-2 at low RPM (below 2K) it often will not go into 2nd or takes a while. 1-2 Syncro wearing out? I guess to many speed shifts in the cars 34,000 life. Shifting at 3000RPM + for example is fine. When shifting from 3-2 to like make a slow turn going into 2nd is pretty easy.
So if you have torn into your trany how long did it take to replace the parts? The car only has 34K miles. I am just planning on putting that syncro in, all other gears shift fine. Anyone think I should do anything else to a low mileage trany? (input shaft bearing, all syncros, ...)
