Default how does a dual disc clutch work

i was wondering if somone could explain to me, or link me to an explanation... to how a dual disc clutch works....

Basically it is flywheel, disk, center pressure plate, disk, pressure plate. The center pressure plate is fixed to the flywheel but can slide back & forth as the clutch engages. http://www.tradezone.com/vette/mcleod.html

dual disc clutch looks like its nothing to mess around with.... thats pretty sick how it has a center pressure plate... thanks for the pics and explanation P Mack

What you're calling a center pressure plate is called a floater. It just rides in between the two disks, but is attached to the pressure plate via three steel arms.

i'll have ot look into upgrading my MC and doin the drill mod first, then putting some number to the gound and mybe then upgrading the clutch....
