what is weong with my tranny this time!

Question what is weong with my tranny this time!

ok guys i was having tranny problems so i took it in to the dealership (still under warrenty ) so anyway they put a brand new tranny in my car and i was driving yesterday and went to stop at a stop light put my car in newtral and let out the clutch and the light turned green pushed clutch in and it won't go into 1st or 2nd or even 3rd what is up with that it will go into 4th but thats the only gear it will go into so i everytime i haft to go from 4th to 1st if i let out the clutch it sucks but im taking it back to the dealarship tom but i would like to know whats wrong with it and what caused it and how long it will take cuz i miss my baby when shes gone thanks trevor

If they did put in a new trans, I would think they FUBARed the hydraulic connection to the slave. That and/ or they don't know how to bleed the system. Your clutch is not releasing.

Sounds like the CAGS system is messes up, it's the solenoid that keeps you in high gears only while cruising at low RPM (fuel economy thing) It's a solenoid that locks out the lower gears so you are forced to cruise in top gears. It can be disabled with a cheap gadget on Ebay, but if the dealer didn't plug it it or messed it up, you may have i stuck on all the time now.

maybe they did not plug it in because i have one of those i bought from slp i will check to see if they pluged it in thanks

stop and pump the clutch peddle once and it will go in.
