Any one know a good place to find a rebuildable core/cores cheap? I'd hate to tear down the perfectly good unit I have now when I can sell it to pay for the race build. Here's my post in the "wanted" section:

I Need a core LT-1 T-56 for a race rebuild. Don't care about it's gear ratios, and don't need the shifter. Needs to be a good case and prefer LT-1 bell housing (will concider others). Gear/shaft/bearing/slider/syncro/key damage OK, those will all be replaced any way.

T-56 & cheap together is an oxy-moron IMO. They will have a high value even blown. $450 & up.

 

Yah, that's the price range I was expecting. Even so, they are hard to find and was hoping to find a source, like maybe a parts horder or somethign. I hate to go to the scrap yards here because they think these things are solid gold even in unknown/broken condition One was offering a used one with ~100K for $2100.00, I can get a new built one for $1995.

 

Keep your eyes open they pop up in the sales section constantly.....
