If you get a whole clutch set it will come together & they balance it.. Either that or you'll have to get it balanced .

Unless you have an internally balanced engine you dont want to Zero balance the flywheel. However if it has been balanced than you can take it to any machine shop that does balancing work and they can balance it off of a Small block chevy crank that is going to be internally balanced. Be advised that I called LM performance about a SLP billet steel Flywheel and they said that SLP said it had been Zero balanced. IT WAS NOT and I had to out my engine out and replace my main bearings, as well as spend a hundrad bucks to get it balanced. As far as the flex plate it is zero balanced. Hope this helps

I dont believe my lt1 is internally balanced, does anyone know if they are? there is a counterwieght on the flexplate and I am not sure if it is to balance the crank or to make the flexplate "zero" balance If the lt1's are internally balanced then I am good to go.

The weight on the flexplate means that it is not internally balanced. are you working on a LS1 or LT1?
