best short stick
what is the best short stick for the money? Seems like I read someone modified a stock shifter and they said it was just as good if not better than a bought short stick, but I can't find the thread again.

I took the stock hurst shifter handle and shortened it about an inch. The car is sitting in storage so i dont have a chance to see if its where i want it,might want to go more.I didnt want an aftermarket stick because i dont like the feel without the rubber bushing in there,to stiff and notchy for me.oh and i angled it towards the driver side just a bit.

I've had both Lou's and Jarrod's. My vote is for Jarrod's short stick. It's about a half an inch taller, and IMO, a better height. Lou's however has a slight angle which made for a slightly better feel hitting second.
JSS is 25 bucks vs about 45 for Lou's (Haven't seen Lou's prices lately though).
Bottom line, you can't go wrong with either. I received excellent service from both.
Do a search, there's been much discussion about this.
