how to change a slave cylender

Default how to change a slave cylender

anyone done this?? i need to do this to my car but i dont know how!

Click on the install documents icon, then look for clutch install. It'll show you step by step how to do it. Just follow up to where they drop the tranny, so you can unbolt the slave, then put it back together.

I'm doing it now...I'm also following the "McLeod Clutch Install" write-up on www.installuniversity.com

Not that hard really...just kind of a pain to be working on your back. I would add that some type of trans jack is a MUST. The transmission is a LOT heavier that I thought is was....it's probably close to 250 lbs.

haaahahaaaaa....It sure feels that heavy when you're by yourself. It actually weighs about 135 I think.

I replaced my clutch & pressure plate & flywheel & slave. My first advice if replacing the flywheel make sure it is balanced to the factory spec. I am pulling mine all apart a second time to fix this problem which sucks. I had a very hard time removing the hydralic line from the slave. Im sure there is a special tool so if anyone knows where I can get I want it. I pulled the master out to drill out the the line mod & that was a pain in the *** & I cut the old slave off from the line & cleaned it . Thankgod I changed it cause that was 98% of my problem leaking slave. Good luck & anyone with the part number & where to buy a slave line release tool would be great the screwdriver thing sucks.
