One of my DSM buddies linked it to me. I saw the price and almost took a dump.

Its a small price to pay.

For a stroker short block not a damn clutch! At that price my grandkids oughta be able to pull 6K dumps.

i know thats the material they use on brakes and clutchs in the high priced super cars(enzo, lambergini, etc) read thatr once in a motor trend mag. Thats why it costs 6k to do brakes on the enzo.

That is a carbon/carbon clutch. The coefficient of friction of carbon on carbon actually goes up as the temperature goes up. So when you slip it, it will grab harder. That clutch will never have to be replaced. As the carbon pads wear, all you have to do is shim it to bring the preload back into spec and you are good to go.

It is alot of money. However, if I had dropped $2500 on a rear end, $2500+ on a G-Force transmission, and $15+K on a motor; what would deter me from a $3300 clutch. I could see guys with serious setups who want to stay with a 6-speed using it. Most of us never will. If it works, cool.
