Got Myself an Aussie Clutch
Is there anything else I will need to complete this swap besides some ATF? I know I need to get my hands on a pilot bearing puller/slide hammer pulley but I'm not sure where to get that.
Also, be sure to have a swivel extension (3/8") and a real long extension (~20") to get the tranny and bellhousing bolts off.
If you dont already have one, the only thing you need to buy is a stock master cylinder. They dont want you to use a Mcleod adjustable master with this clutch.
The thing drives like a dream compared to any RAM or Spec clutch I have driven.

As for the question of how the Aussie clutch is doing. Its doing well. Tommy' is taking a weekend off from farming in a week or so, and going to Dallas. Lou G. is going to go put some hot laps on the car at motorsports ranch with Tommy in the car riding shotgun, and then Tommy is going to make some laps in the car.
Blu-by-U has been driving his around on the street and loving it.... As for the HP level it will take. I know Pete and they guys have been conservatively estimating its maximum service life at around 700 HP. I know it will take more, but thats a nice safe area. These are just a fewof the folks I have spoken with lately. All have been very pleased. I have another one of these clutches going into an all out max effort car solid roller car which should be together very soon.
Big Shawn down (nicknamed Matters (shortened for of Size Matters, he's a body builder). Anyhow, his car is the one in the video froma Australia running 10.4 @ 143.

I talked with Pete @ Textralia, and he's had it at two recent track events. At the LS1 nats he made about 40 runs over the weekend. This past week he went to a T&T day, and no one showed up. So, he hot lapped the car all day.
My understanding was that he made about 14 back to back passes (in a car making 800+ RWHP) with literally zero cooldown. After his last pass he started to worry that the clutch might be starting to give just a little bit
. So he took the car home. After letting the clutch cool down, the car had zero issues and he's out driving it around again, and he's just beside himself with how awsome the car is running.
He's now been informed he needs to let the clutch cool down between every few rounds if he's going to hot lap it like that. It probably wouldn't be an issues except he slips the clutch a BUNCH (like all the way through 1st gear) since its a small tired car. He just wasn't giving the car any time to cool the clutch down adequately.
So, unless you are making more than 800 RWHP, and you make 14 hot laps in a row you should be ok at this point. So, I think this probably covers most folks with a fair margin of safety....

Here is Big Shawn's quote on the clutch:

ALOT OF THESE OTHER CLUTCHS ON THE MARKET ESPECIALLY TWIN PLATES ARE JUST TO HARSH ON YOUR DRIVE LINE FOR DRAG RACING
i only ever left the line with this clutch at 2000-2500rpm and it caused a path of distruction over the few meetings it lasted before burning out anyway (what a exspensive piece of **** it was) with a best ET of 11.1
PLAN B's clutch how ever 5000rpm off the line no sweat, HOT lap after HOT lap and i havn't broken any thing since. Taking chunks out of my ET
and adding to my MPH every meeting,as i experiment with its capabilitys.PLAN B's CLUTCHS ARE A BEAUTIFUL THING!
