Clutch reports please!
I wanna see who's clutches are doing good.
Me, McLeod steel flywheel, kevlar/organic single disk, McLeod pressure plate with adj Mcleod master cylinder. 12k miles on the setup with more than I can count(75-100) 1.6 60 foot times (8 or so 1.5's too) and probably 300-400 1/4mile passes(if not more) on Et streets, nittos and lately the ET drags dumping around 5500rpm.
RWHP figures in sig...
REPORT....the clutch is still holding nicely! No chatter and you can actually slip this clutch a little for nice street cruising. I have adjusted the master twice and maybe ready for another adjustment soon.
BTW, no I'm not tight with McLeod or trying to advertise for them....just pretty happy with the cltuch considering all the bad reports I have read about with other clutch companies.

Do you have any feeling for how many miles you'll be able to go before there is no adjustment left in the M/C?

FWIW, i ran a CFDF at first. Got 10k miles out of it at ~460 RWHP. if i tried to hot lap it it would slip

I'm running the same setup as Fireball and have around 4k miles. Many low/mid 1.6 60's and still holding strong. The clutch is very grabby on the street, but I don't think you will find a better clutch for the track.

i got the stage 3 also. pushing only 370rwhp. dropped it at 5000 and snap the stock driveshaft in half and twisted a 12bolt 30 splin axle. all in the same launch. that was on slicks. i am not sure how it will continue to hold in the long run. only got 10k on it. but seems to be doing pretty good so far

Damn, you mean a 12 bolt wont take a 5K dump with 370rwhp? That doesnt seem right to me.
Can't really slip it w/o the car shaking.

you are exactly right. i have had the carbon III disk since the end of fall and though i wont be driving too much this winter, hell it is in storage nearly all of dec to jan, it has run nicely. the SHAKING it terrible though. you can not slip this thing. it grabs so hard that you just let your foot off the clutch without gas and it nearly will not stall. maybe that is normal. i have never had a strong clutch in any car i have owned. it shakes so hard the car vibrates and makes the interior sound like it is on crack. for all that said it would not last, i am over a 1K miles on it. but the real test will be this summer with the ET streets and not the DRs.
