Default grinding if not at a stop in 1st????

i just put in a new clutch.... when the car isnt at a near full stop and i try to put it in first it grinds..... i dont know why.... could it be bad synchro..... the clutch seems to be fully disengaging cuz the clutch grabs real high and has a lot of slack..... let me know what you guys think.... i have an adjustable master cylinder....spec stage three....

i had this problem, when i took my trany apart the reason was all 3 keys came out of the 1/2 sychro, causing the sychro to not work at all, the only way i could drive it was to come to a complete stop and put it into first, or match revs/heel toe and drive it like it had a race car tranny in it.

So just don't downshift to first like that. If you're not coming to a complete stop then keeping it in second will be fine (there is def enough torque to get ya goin in second)... yes it's annoying to have to do this, but it should be fine unless you're running a really stiff and grippy clutch (and it doesn't cost any time or money like pulling the tranny does).

By the way, nice ride.

Does this problem change with temperature? Or is it always there?
