slave line

Default slave line

i just put in a spec stage 3 in my ws6 and everything went really well except i can not get the slave line back into its place back in the slave cylinder. i have done a few of these damn clutch swaps for random friends and never ran into this problem before. any one have any ideas. thanks guys...........

Have you checked inside the slave hole to make sure nothing is stuck in there? Maybe one or more of the teeth are bent (inside the hole)?

Would the braided line not being plugged in to the slave keep the clutch pedal from moving? My pedal does not move an inch right now and the only problem I see is that the braided line is not connected.
Just did a spec 3 with the stock slave and just replaced the top part of the slave that comes with the spec

I haven't tried it myself, but I would assume since the line is not connected to the slave, the clutch won't move since there is no where for the fluid to travel hence the "stuck" pedal. You said you replaced only the top part of the slave cylinder? Are you talking about replacing the throwout bearing? Do you have access to some compressed air? If so, try spraying some in where the line connects to the slave cylinder, maybe there is some debris in there.

good idea. Ya, got a compressor and yes, it was the throwout.

bleed the pressure off the slave and try it.
