Default 1st gear bog down???? HELP???

I was out tonight with my buddy gettin used to launching my car. I wanted to try from a semi roll so i put it in first let it roll (just let out the clutch) waited a second and floored it....it bogged down then got up to speed like normal. I expected 1st to hit hard or even burn the tires. Is there a problem, am I driving it wrong....any advise will help..It is bugging the hell out of me.

That is usually how it is launching an M-6, bog or spin.
It's the fine line between you need to find.

If your rolling with clutch out at idle speed it may bog at first then it should take off like a bat out of hell!

I did go like a bat outa hell once it caught up to itself, it was just the initial bog that had me worried. I will turn the ASR off, but i guess im confused as to what it does then....i knwo this is not the right place to ask this it came up so bare with me. I thought it only kicked on when the rear spun and it lifted up on the gas to bring the rpms down until it hooked back up?? you guys saying that by the ASR on it does not allow all the power to the rear if you punch it from a roll?? Either way i will try with the ASR off.

Your ASR is why it bogged. Your wheels would have spun if it were off. Since it was on, it intervened and cut fuel to prevent wheelspeen. It was doing it's job. Once the car was sure it had traction, it starts returning fuel and you begin picking up speed.
