If I'm just putting around town or on the highway, I normally shift around 2k-2.5k rpms.

Ditto. I used to take first up to about 3500, the rest up around 2500 or so, but then the gas prices went up.

If the car is not warm...I shift around 3K. Once it is warm and I am driving for gas milage, I shift into 2 @ 30, 3 @ 40, 4 @ 50, 5 @ 60 & 6 @ 70. Alot of the times I will find myself keeping the car in higher RPM's (3K-3.5K)...the computer seems to like that and I feel that it is best not to bog the motor down too much.

Man, it's a small block, not a b18c16jtz2ge! Drive it like a diesel!

I shift my lt-1 around 2000 if I'm accelerating briskly, but closer to 1500-1800 just putting around. And that's with what some people would call a "lumpy" cam! (comp 306). V8's are great.

I usually cruise at around 1800-2100 depending on speed and gear. The 4.10's spin first up pretty quickly, so it sees more than the rest of the gears.
