Default Part Number For Gm Mt Synchromesh??

I'm looking for the GM part number for the 6 spd manual transmission synchromesh I should use for my 2000 Camaro SS. I went to get it today and they had 3 different kinds. I don't want to use the wrong stuff. Any help would be great.

Here are the PN's they showed me they had:

12346190
12377916
12345349

None of those numbers are correct because Synchromesh isn't designed for our transmissions. But, if you insist on using it, I would pick 12345349.

A lot of people say to use it, so I thought I would try it out. The more I think about it, I will probably stay safe and use Dexron III, that's what it calls for. Amazing they use ATF for a manual transmission.

I know, I see a lot of people say they use it with no problems, but your owners manual says to use Dexron. It does seem strange to use automatic tranny fluid in a manual, but it does work well.

It is manual transmission fluid, just not for our year/model trannies according to GM. I'm not telling anyone not to use it, that's your own choice. Do a search and you will find a lot of discussions on this topic. Supposedly it's not good for the pre '01 trannies because they have paper lined blocker rings as opposed to carbon fiber blocker rings in the newer trannys. Synchromesh is thick stuff compared to ATF, which has to make for sluggish shifting until it warms up. As expensive as it is, you would think GM would be telling us to use it so they could make a few more bucks, but they aren't and for good reasons.
