cheapest place for rebuilt T56
My transmission is starting to take a crap sooner than I thought (3rd and now 5th pop out of gear sometimes), and I'm wanting to know who sells rebuilt T56's for the cheapest. I'm leaning towards buying parts from D&D and rebuilding it here locally, but if I could find a rebuilt one for cheap enough, I'd rather do that instead. I remember seeing someone on here who sells rebuilt T56's for around the $1200-1300 range but can't remember who they are. I'm just looking to go with a basic upgrade from stock with steel 3-4 shift fork, carbon fiber synchros, bearings, and maybe synchro assemblies if need be. thanks

I just had my T56 rebuilt last month from one of the recomended places on here. Not D&D, but some place in TX. I was in Houston on vacation, so my dad and I pulled and drove to his place of business and had it rebuilt for $475. Works awesome. the only complaint i had, i should of put in a new clutch at the time. Oh, well. The one i have now works fine.

I found a place called Texas Motorsports (www.txmotorsports.com), and they sell rebuilt T56's with upgraded synchros, steel shift fork, and high po synchro assemblies for $1295, and a unit with billet slider keys for 1450 with a $600 core charge. Anyone had any experience with them?
