so ive been readinga lot on this site trying to get parts and info i need for my 350 6 speed sonoma project

and i have a tranny bell housing and shifter

i had my dad order me a slave from his parts suplyer, and the normal suplyer was out so he got one from advanced

he got a replacement slave for a 98 ls1 6 speed, but everyone says get the stuff for the 2001 and up, so did i get the wrong one?

whats the difference and why do you all like the 2001+ stuff

the slave my dad got is the same replacement one someone said to get from this site, i forget what its called though
