Default Mushy Clutch pedal...what do I need to do?

My clutch pedal has steadily become mushy over the last year. I only have 38k miles on the car and its at the point now where I can push in the pedal about 2 inches before there is any resistance. Any idea if there is something I can do to adjust this, or does it just mean my clutch is going bad from too much racing?

Well, I'll put it on the list of stuff to replace I guess. Is there a particular one that I should be looking at to firm it up and keep it firmer for longer than 38k miles?
