Default clutch feel

is the spec 2 supposed to be stiffer than stock? it takes a little to push it down, but comes up pretty easily. i'm just wondering if that's normal.

also, where should i adjust the pedal with my adjustable master cylinder?

well, i'm sure the 3 doesn't feel exactly like stock. maybe it will drive differently, but all i've done is installed it and just bled the lines. i don't know if it's right the way it is, but it's kinda close to the floor, so maybe if i adjust the master and make the pedal go back towards the seat a little, it won't be as stiff?

Well Hydraulic presure makes things a lot more difficult to tell but no I mean like stock friends have said the same you put an adjustable master on could be a little different. I bled my hydralics before I put the trans back in so that I could get to the bleeder valve and also I used a vacum pump on it . then disconnected it and installed on trans and then reassembled every thing like factory and went down the road I've done three that way so far and it releases in just about the same place as stock and everything. Good luck.

well i've driven a few spec 3's, and i've never driven a 3 that felt remotely like stock, so i don't know if your guess is inaccurate or if you are just getting different spec 3 clutches to work with. all the spec 3's i've driven were on/off, which isn't like stock at all.

anyway, i don't know, mine is tough to push in, but releases easily. i don't really know how to explain it. i suppose i'll have to wait till the system is on the road until i can tell. the hydraulics are definitely bled.

I'll agree with you that two of my friends have Spec 3's that don't feel like stock, but the ones I have installed did. And one of them mine has the Billet steel flywheel and the other a turned stock flywheel so that rules flywheels out as a possible difference. If you say your doesn't feel good or like stock I believe you I am just trying to help you out. Maybe it will feel different once you get a few miles on it who knows. Good luck. Oh and the ones I've installed were the puck style not the full face disc.
