stupid question: would a pro 5.0 shifter from a t56 in a 03-04 cobra, fit an ls1 t56?

Default stupid question: would a pro 5.0 shifter from a t56 in a 03-04 cobra, fit an ls1 t56?
.. I know the stick needs to be changed, but what about the base? is it the same exact thing? im thinking about the height of the base being different or something.

buddy of mine got his pro-5.0 shifter from a guy with an 03 SVT and he is using it...ill have to ask and see if it came out of the cobra or not...
