Default Mecleod clutch, how much to turn fly?

I am getting ready to put a mecleod twin friction clutch in and was wondering if I should get the flywheel resurfaced or buy a new one. I have a mecleod adj. master and a new '01 slave going in. The problem is that the flywheel may have been resurfaced at least once before I bought the car (maybe more) and was wondering how to tell if the flywheel is good to resurface of should I just get a new one?

if its been resurfaced once i would not do it again

and if it was resurfaced there should be a shim behind the slave
