Default Flywheel?????????

I am about to do my Spec S3 clutch.

Should i do an aftermarket steel or an aluminum flywheel? Or just stick with stock? Why would anyone want to spend money on an aftermarket flywheel and buy a steel one. Im told that aluminum is harder to launch but it seems a small price to pay for more power to the wheels and a quicker car racing from a roll?

if your going to drag get a billet stell it's stronger than stock and the Al.one dosen't store the energy like the steel ones do because of the weight.

Hmm...decisions, decisions. If im gonna go to the track every now and then i guess i should just stick with the factory one. In other words, i know for a fact that i am going to be on stock rear end and nothing more extreme than Nitto drags. Im not looking to bracket race or anything. I dont really want to spend $300+ on an aluminum flywheel unless its gonna put down considerably more power to the wheels or have mush better response from a roll on the street when i hit the gas. Otherwise i could use the $ towards headers.

Any other opinions. This Saturdays closing in

I have a spec 3 and fidanza aluminum flywheel and I couldn't be happier

Same here, just installed it three weeks ago. Felt great out on Road Atlanta and out on the AutoX course. Going to do some drag racing this weekend, I'll see how it works there.
